After a year at the shelter, Minnie finally found her home! As a bonus, she gets to live with fellow alumni Gabby. Here is what their owner says:
I adopted Gabby six months ago and just adopted Minnie last week. When I adopted Gabby, I had a hard time deciding whether or not to choose Gabby or Minnie. They are both wonderful cats. I chose Gabby, but figured that someone would adopt Minnie right away. I took Gabby home and she fit right in with my other cat, Cricket. Gabby made herself at home and explored the whole house. She loves to watch the birds from the window. Six months later, I noticed that Minnie was still at the shelter. Then, I found out that she had been there for a year. I went back to the shelter to adopt Minnie. It was time for her to have a home. Minnie fit right in with Gabby and Cricket. She also loves to watch the birds from the window. Now, I have three happy cats!

Thanks to the wonderful generosity of so many caring people, Nunzio the Maltese received the surgery he needed to end the pain years of chronic ear infections had caused. After recovering, Nunzio was adopted into a loving home and is settling in well. We couldn’t be happier for him!

The donations made to the our Life is Precious Fund are used specifically to treat the medical needs of animals surrendered to the Animal Protection Center. Animals like Nunzio get their second chance because of these doantions!

Kiki is fast approaching her one year anniversary here at the shelter. We would love for her to find her new forever home before she reaches that milestone. Kiki came to us a scrawny little stray with a very shy personality. She has blossomed under our care (a little too much perhaps) and is now a plump happy little cat. She enjoys having her chin scratched and loves toys. Straws are her favorite! She even gives kisses sometimes and enjoys the company of other cats. She is very much a morning cat and naps most afternoons, so we are afraid folks miss out on seeing her wonderful personality.
Please, please ask one of us about Kiki! We all have something wonderful to say about her!!!

Here is a note from Roscoe’s new family:
Just wanted to let you know Roscoe is doing GREAT in his new Forever Home! He has settled right in and loves being King of the Castle! He’s a very affectionate cuddle-bug who curls right up and falls asleep on any part of us he can come into contact with, and sleeps curled up with us on our bed every night. We’ve had absolutely no issues with him since bringing him home, although he does seem to believe that we all eat off the same plates, and loves to stick his face into our food and drinks whenever possible.

Toby (who we knew as Cowboy) has found his home!
Here is what his new family has to say:
Toby is an interesting little character. Follows us everywhere. Is fascinated with water wherever it is, and loves to: curl up in the bathroom sink (like this morning), stretch out in front of the fire, lie on my desk when I’m at the computer (yes and walks on the keys), and in the last picture can you see where he is in the kitchen?–weaving in and out between the glassware on top of the cabinets! Totally held my breath when he first did that but we pushed them all back touching the wall, and he walks carefully so nothing has come crashing down. We love him!
